Liberty Cedar Inside Sales Representatives serve an essential role in the company’s continuous drive to deliver excellent customer service along with providing the highest quality materials available in the industry. Experience in the lumber industry is essential for success and a prerequisite for this position.
Primary responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Maintain a working knowledge of the lumber industry, building materials and their appropriate applications.
Prepare accurate quotes and providing customers with product descriptions and specifications that will aid in making informed decisions regarding appropriate material selections.
Ensure the satisfaction of general contractors, builders, architects and homeowners by providing accurate information about products, prices, services and delivery information.
Prepare accurate paperwork to ensure proper materials are pulled from inventory and delivered to customers as ordered.
Support the outside sales team by providing the full range of in-house services to facilitate excellent customer service.
In addition, the Inside Sales Representative shall:
Answer incoming phone calls and properly direct and respond to customer inquiries.
Greet and serve all walk-in customers. Will move about the warehouses and office at least 50% of the time and ascend/descend stairs.
Properly process orders placed by customers according to Liberty Cedar Inc. policies, practices and procedures. Must be able to use computer, calculator and telephone during the entire work day. Collect, prepare and mail/deliver samples requested by sales members and customers.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds and carry lumber to customer vehicles. Ensure that all customers are kept up-to-date regarding the status of their orders.
Coordinate with the Yard Manager to ensure that orders are properly pulled and prepared for shipping.
Maintain a tidy appearance both personal and of surrounding workspace. Participate in trainings, reviews, and other Liberty Cedar Inc. informational meetings as requested.

Measures of Success:
Sales orders are recorded and prepared in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
Customer complaints and problems are handled in accordance with Liberty Cedar Inc.’s policies in a timely and professional manner.
Eliminate/minimize errors in placing all orders with special attention to value-added orders. Checking all voicemail, email and responding to written requests in a timely manner.
Coordination with Yard Manager and Yard Workers is completed in a professional manner.
Sales team is satisfied with the level and accuracy of support provided by the ISR.
