Hemlock Lumber

Western Hemlock is a softwood species that has little color variance between its heartwood and sapwood resulting in a nearly uniform pale color. The tight grain pattern and even density make it a excellent choice for milling. The kiln-drying process inhibits natural staining of the wood, improves its strength and increases resistance to decay and attack from insects. Hemlock wood is an ideal choice for trimboard, flooring, paneling and ceilings. Hemlock accepts paints, stains and clear finishes with excellent results.
